I was given a graphic
novel called The Ride, and then several comic books called The Ride, Die Valkyrie #1 and #2.
The graphic novel was a good piece of work and pretty easy to
follow. On the other hand the individual
comics were well drawn but jumped around and left me feeling that I was missing
something. Character development was
weak and incomplete at times. The
graphic novel has short stories included in the end that blew me away. The words gritty and visceral don’t begin to
even describe this venture. There is a
lot of story passed with little or no speaking, and the central themes always
seem to revolve around a 1968 “cherry” Camaro. The amazing artwork on the splash pages round
out a solid piece of work down to the back cover.
