What’s more frightening than today’s gas prices? Killer cars and monstrous motors.

Tales Of Hot Rod Horror is a graphic anthology of 15 stories that deal with the horrors of cars and their owners. Hot Rod Horror is a nice little collection that runs from the funny to the horrific and the true story of James Dean’s ‘Little Bastard’ the cursed car the actor died in. There is also a wide artistic spectrum from the realistic to the superhero to the outright cartoonish. Some notable works of art that I found are from David Settlow, J.F. Garcia, and James Suhr.

The book was all over the place as far as style and content. I would like to see volume 2 with a better set pattern or broken up into different parts. The stories weren’t always great but the artwork and the humor more than made up for it. I learned a little something and was entertained, a great combination.
