It’s like if Disney went evil…or more evil.
Stinkin’ Rat is filming a zombie cat movie. Filming is
interrupted when a twelve-year-old boy, Cage, stumbles onto the set. Isty, a Yorkshire Terrier has an
idea to film a movie about animals kidnapping and torturing a human, using a
real human. This being illegal the human was dubbed as a special effect. After
the film, Cage escapes and takes his revenge on the animals. The problem is
that the movie was a huge success in the animal world and later in the human
world. Cage is thrust into stardom but the animals are lying in wait for the
chance to strike at the boy again.
Funny, disturbing, and lots of poop. I’ve never
been much of a fan of anthropomorphic animals but this book shows how much more
fun they can be with out all the sickening goodness. While tickling our funny
bone, Shamel also brings up a horrifying thought: if
animals could think and function together, they probably would be plotting to
over throw us. So read, laugh, and watch your step, but when you are finished
look deep into the eyes of your cat and/or dog. And look over your shoulder
anytime they’re behind you.
