The Adventures of Onion Boy is a large format comic novel, 8 ½” x 11”, with GREAT lithographic style artwork, that are not only well done, but weird.  The first issue, Chapter One: Birth is about, as you may have guessed, the birth of ‘onion boy’ along with a cast of other mutated vegetation. This obscure little tale leaves you wanting more. While at the 2008 Comic-Con, I was hoping for a second installment, but, alas, it was not in the stars.  It does seem that Mrs. LaRue is looking to the 2009 Comic-Con for a debut of Chapter Two; which should be a hit.

Pick it up for the wonderful artwork and pure oddity of it all. Withersin gives it 3.5 out of 5 ravens.
