More
controversy than you can shake a melee weapon at.
The
zombie apocalypse rages on and we play as four different survivors: Nick,
Ellis, Rochelle, and Coach. The four show up after the evacuation and have to
make it to a safe area before being blown to bits with the zombies by the
military. Surrounded by thousands of zombies, that beat you up instead of bite
you for some reason, our survivors have no choice but to shoot their way to
safety. Only now they can chop or bash their way to safety if they run out of
bullets.
I can
say this amongst the boos: this game is much better
than the first. The game had a big negative reaction when announced because it
was released very close to the first one. Also, there seems to be a lot of
accusations of racism and some content considered to be “too soon” (there are
bodies floating in water in a flooded town which may remind people of hurricane
Katrina). All this non-sense aside, it is a great game and a big improvement
over the first, including the melee weapons. I can say that I play this a few
times a week and have every week since it came out. The multiplayer options
such as scavenge (where you compete to find gas for generators while the other
team is the infected trying to stop you) is so much fun to play you can do it
over and over again. The only bad things about this game are the other online
players. This is a team game. If you want to run around and play hero don’t
play this game. And stop kicking the no mic’ers! I
don’t use a mic any more because I get tired of
arguing and pseudo threats from twelve-year-olds.
Let the
no mic’ers play!
