This beautiful comic book is
set in an alternate reality 1946 WWII, where mad scientists and engineers have
redesigned the way war is fought. The
Allies (America, Russia, Europe, and South America)
are embroiled with the Axis (Germany, Japan, and Africa), who
have discovered an alien spaceship in the Artic and have begun using the
advanced technology discovered within. You would think Zombie shock troops and
mutant Ape soldiers violently clashing with paratroopers and robot armored
commandos can be confusing, but the Image crew pulls it off without a
hitch. Each frame is a piece of fine art
in itself with vibrant and gorgeous images thrown into your face. An
extraordinary attention to detail can be seen in the lush back drops and
machinations. Believe me you have to get
your hands on this one; I personally cannot wait for issue #2 of Dust to arrive.
