Still waiting for something to happen.

Joe Berzinski just floats through life watching things as they happen to him. His wife, Sarah, leaves him for another woman. His boss, Nye, barely respects him. His father is dying of cancer. And Berzinski just takes it in stride. Through a strange chance meeting Berzinski starts a relationship with his wife's lover unbeknownst to all parties involved. While his boss is trying to start a relationship with Berzinski's estranged wife. A man named Reed Devonshire begins to appear in all aspects of Berzinski's life and makes bold claims that forces Berzinski question everything he has known his whole life.

The writing is good and plenty of questions are opened up, but this book just doesn't really go anywhere. The idea of Reed being something other than what he turns out to be would have been a much more enjoyable book than people all being bound together by a strange coincidence. Also I would have liked Berzinski to have grown more as a character. He makes some minor changes throughout the book but nothing really grand. I thought that in the end the character wasn't much different from where he started. Glick has some great talent showcased here and I think he can do great things. I just don't think that this was one of them.
