Richard Foley of Starving for Gravity

I play keyboards in a rock band called Starving for Gravity. I also write and produce music in a variety of other genres including Hip Hop, Cuban, Electronic, Jazz, Modern Classical and Brazilian. I like to hit the beach and drive go-karts, bowl, play pool, as well as play and watch basketball, of which I've been a Lakers fan since I was five. I also like to stay up 'till sunrise on the weekends.

The guys whose whole body is tattooed in a puzzle.


What is your greatest non-literary influence?

Hemingway when not writing.

Don't read newspapers. Go online for news. Don't like killing trees, yo. Can't remember the last story that I read

Why rock music?

Cuz I like it!!!


Have you ever had an embarrassing moment while performing?

I never get embarrassed playing music.


What are you currently listening to?

Portishead's new album "Third", The Roots new album "Raising Down", and two of Common's old albums "Finding Forever" and "Be".


Do you have any pre-stage superstitions and/or rituals?

Totally nothing here, except maybe have a couple drinks.


Which Starving for Gravity song do you most like to perform live?

What is your favorite vegetable?

Tomato.


Have you had any formal musical and/or vocal training?

Yes. I have a Bachelors degree from a Music School in Los Angeles.
