READING PERIOD GUIDELINES:
N 25,000 to 50,000 word novellas of fiction or non-fiction.
N Open to new and established authors.
N Most genres considered, but preference is given to the
dark, different and disturbing.
N Please submit complete pieces, stories needing extensive
editing will be rejected.
N Hard copy submissions must be sent by postal mail.
N Emailed submissions will be rejected.
N Please allow 6-8 months for a response.
PAYMENT: 10% Royalites payable on retail net sales bi-annually.

Accepted Submissions:
N Submission(s) accepted will be sent a
publishing contract.
N Withersin owns exclusive world wide rights to
the work for the contracted period; author can not publish work online or
elsewhere during period of the contract.
N Author has the option to extend contract
after initial period has been reached.
N All set-up fees and publication fees are paid
by Withersin, including the ISBN number.
N Small editing changes can/will be made by
Withersin (at no charge).
N Withersin reserves the right to make final
decisions on the works title.
N Cover art will be done or commissioned by
Withersin (at no charge).
N Cover art and/or ideas from the author is
encouraged.
N Cover price will be set by Withersin.
N Author copies will be available at a reduced
rate of 40% off cover price.
N Royalties will not be paid on reduced rate
copies.
N 10% Royalties paid on all retail sales
received* by Withersin, within 90
days of each period, April 1st and October 1st.
N Royalty statements will be sent with each
payment.
N Official copyrighting is encouraged and
should done by the author see: http://www.copyright.gov/register/literary.html
N Withersin will promote books on its official website
as well as MySpace, but requires the Author to make the effort of promoting
their own work. (ie: set up bookstore signings, send out review copies,
websites, fliers, get the word out however you can)
N Books will be sold on Withersin and
Amazon.com. Efforts will be made for
bookstore distribution, as we are contracted with Ingram Periodicals, but not
guaranteed.
*Royalties are not paid until monies are
actually received from resellers.
